Festival Park

Festival Park is the Darwin CBD base for Darwin Festival, bringing food, drinks and festival activity together during the 2026 event from 5 to 23 August. It is set up for the practical pleasures of an outdoor festival visit: arrive before a show, stay on afterwards or make a meal part of the evening, with places to sit and eat in the open air. The festival describes its setting as balmy dry-season nights beneath twinkling lights, giving the park a relaxed backdrop for gathering between performances and events.

The food line-up spans several cuisines and includes returning local operators. Hanuman, Jimmy Shu’s restaurant, serves Thai, Indian and Nonya-inspired food using locally sourced ingredients. Sanchos Taco Bar brings Mexican-style street food, while Cucina sotto le Stelle offers made-to-order wood-fired pizza. Bamboo Lounge focuses on bao buns, and Three Mum’s Kitchen serves Vietnamese food made with ingredients from Top End farms and markets. Other listed vendors include Christine’s Exotic Eats, Trampoline Gelato, Hugs PaNim and Hopper Kade by ELLA, which specialises in Sri Lankan hoppers.

There is enough variety for mixed groups, whether someone wants a full meal, a snack to share or something sweet after a performance. Named choices include crispy Baja barramundi tacos, adobo pork with roasted pineapple, wood-fired pizza, Southeast Asian-style bao, Vietnamese noodle salad, Kenyan samosas, gelato, Pad Thai, paw paw salad and Sri Lankan egg hoppers.
