Darwin Visual Arts

Darwin Visual Arts is an artist-run contemporary art space at the entrance to the Darwin Waterfront, with its gallery located on the ground floor of Harbour View Plaza on McMinn Street. It was established and incorporated in 1983 by artists who wanted a place to make and exhibit their work, and that founding purpose still shapes the organisation. Rather than operating only as a viewing space, it gives artists direct control over how their work is presented to the public.

The gallery maintains an active exhibition program featuring Territory, Australian and international artists at different stages of their careers.
