Darwin Turf Club

Tables for six can be booked in the air-conditioned Ted Bailey Grandstand on race days, with views across the course.

The club has a substantial place in Darwin racing history. The first Darwin Cup at Fannie Bay was held in 1956, and the venue has since grown into what its website describes as the Northern Territory’s biggest sporting event, attracting more than 20,000 people each year. The racecourse is one of only a few dirt tracks operating on the provincial circuit, and racing names compete for significant prize money and trophies during the month-long Darwin Cup event.
