One Mile Brewery (NT)

One Mile Brewery & Distillery is an independent Darwin brewery, distillery and brewpub built around locally made drinks and straightforward food. Its range includes fresh craft beer brewed for the Northern Territory climate, house-made vodka and gin, flavoured vodkas, cocktails, mocktails and other Territory beverages. The venue promotes 20 taps of local drinks, with tasting paddles available for those who want to compare a few pours rather than settle on one. Takeaway cans and bottles are also available, making it an option for a casual visit or for picking up drinks to enjoy elsewhere.

Food is centred on fresh pizza, with a menu of brewery-style pizzas, snacks and share plates. One Mile Brewery began in 2012 in a shed in Stuart Park, near the old One Mile Station, starting as a home-brewing project before growing into a commercial operation. The brewery says its focus remains on easy-drinking beverages made for Darwin’s climate, with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients and avoiding additives, preservatives and shortcuts.
